There is always a feed to be caught on the broken reefs and gravel patches outside the bay and Fishing for table fish remains good even through winter when the days are calm and there is little or no current to contend with. The cooler months are when some very deep water can be fished.

Game Fishing

Jervis Bay can really fire up on game fishing for Marlin and Mahi Mahi as summer sets in and it is not uncommon to hook upwards of 4 Marlin per day when they are on. Marlin fishing is generally good through until April with it peaking in the middle of February early March.

Game Fishing in Autumn, Winter and Spring sees us getting amongst the Tuna. Namely Albacore and Yellow fin, and plenty of Blue and Mako Sharks.
 
Autumn and Spring provides some of the mildest and calmest weather, and it can be an absolute pleasure just to be on the water.

Bay Fishing

For those who prefer the shelter of the bay, there is usually a feed to be had with the ever present Flathead, occasional Snapper and Sea Bream and some Trevelly and small Kingfish.

Some trolling around the washes usually produces Australian Salmon and Tailer depending on the season.

Spear Fishing

Jervis Bay and its surroundings have earned a reputation among fishers and spear fishermen alike as the home to some of the largest fish you are likely to encounter. The region is washed through by seasonal oceanic currents and with them a variety of great sport fish arrive in immense numbers.

With the clear, blue water surrounding Jervis Bay, every trip offers a chance at catching a challenging and rewarding catch.
